FAQ
Expat coaching is particularly valuable for those who are just starting their expatriate experience. I will assist you in overcoming the challenges and seizing the opportunities that come with living abroad. Expat coaching covers diverse topics, including cultural adaptation, communication skills, issues related to family and relationships, career development, and personal growth. My coaching is flexible and tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Expat coaching is also commonly requested to navigate the challenging culture shock phase, while beginning life in a new environment and culture. Many people experience a ‘honeymoon phase’ at the start of living in a new environment and culture, filled with positivity and energy to start new experiences and tasks. However, after a few weeks or months, culture shock can often set in, accompanied by energy loss, mood swings, overwhelm, and doubts. I will support you in recognizing your risk factors, preventing inhibiting expressions of a culture shock, and successfully managing difficult feelings and challenges during this period.
My coaching service is customizable and personalized. In the first complimentary 30-minute session, I’ll introduce myself and my approach, allowing you to assess our compatibility. We’ll discuss your initial goals and session structure. Subsequent sessions are typically 50 minutes each, scheduled with intervals of 1 to 4 weeks based on your preferences and availability, We will work closely together to determine the appropriate duration that aligns with your objectives.
One of the wonderful advantages of my, predominantly online, work is the flexibility when it comes to times and places where my clients are located. I work as flexible as I can, also early in the morning or very late in the evening. Depending on your location, we will look for a time that is comfortable for both our time zones. In general, I work with people around the world, even when they are travelling. I live and work in Georgia, US, which lies in the EST timezone.
My prices are quoted in US dollars, as my company is based in Georgia, USA. However, if you are unable to pay in dollars, that’s not a problem. You can just as easily pay in Euros. Please send me a message or let’s discuss during the free initial consultation the payment options that work best for you.
I specialize in online coaching, offering flexible scheduling and the convenience of participating from your preferred location, saving you time and effort on commuting. While online sessions are the norm, I understand that in-person meetings may be preferred in some cases. We can discuss the possibility of in-person sessions individually. My goal is to provide a tailored coaching experience that aligns with your needs and preferences. Please feel free to share any questions or specific requirements so that we can work together to find the best solutions
You don’t need any prior knowledge to start coaching. It doesn’t matter if you are hesitant, highly motivated, excited, completely determined, or even completely undecided. Every starting point is welcome and offers the opportunity to work together on your goals. If you already have experience with coaching, we can build upon that and take into account your previous insights and progress. Together, we will determine the best way to shape your coaching journey. To prepare for the coaching process, I will send you a questionnaire before we begin. This questionnaire is designed to stimulate and structure your thoughts about goals and other aspects. If you haven’t formulated your goals in detail yet, the questionnaire will help you clarify them.

Individual sessions are priced at $170, and attractive package options start at just $450 for 3 hours.
In my work, I acknowledge the fact that each client has very individual concerns and issues. The personal challenges make it difficult to speak of “typical concerns”. As an expat coach, I work with a model that encompasses various phases and situations that expats, exchange students, digital nomads, adult third-culture individuals, and global citizens may find themselves in. Furthermore, many coaching topics we can work on are not exclusively limited to your expat life, but they may be related to it. These may include clarifying your personal values, pursuing personal growth, improving work-life balance, enhancing your stress management, supporting decision-making, improving communication skills, or learning techniques for emotional regulation.
